Apple’s iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max introduce updates to the camera system, display, performance and battery. Here’s a straightforward look at the headline specifications from Apple’s UK product page.

Two sizes and four finishes

iPhone 18 Pro has a 6.3-inch display, while iPhone 18 Pro Max has a 6.9-inch display. Both use Super Retina XDR displays with ProMotion up to 120Hz. Apple lists four finishes: Burgundy, Glacier, Silver and Black.

The design uses an aluminium unibody, a Ceramic Shield back and a Ceramic Shield 2 front. Apple says the front offers three times better scratch resistance than iPhone 16 Pro.

48MP Pro camera system

A20 Pro chip and vapour chamber cooling

The A20 Pro chip is paired with a next-generation vapour chamber. Apple says this combination delivers up to 40 per cent better sustained performance than iPhone 17 Pro, and is designed to handle demanding games and on-device AI tasks.

Battery and charging

Apple lists up to 43 hours of video playback on iPhone 18 Pro Max and says a compatible power adapter can charge the phone to around 50 per cent in about 15 minutes. Battery life and charging speed vary with use, settings and accessories.
